Phase II Expansion

Sagewood will soon have even more to love. $100 million community addition will add new senior apartment homes, dining and other amenities.

Excitement is building at Sagewood. We’re currently in the middle of a 220,000-square-foot Phase II expansion, which will add one- and two-bedroom senior apartment homes and an 18-hole championship golf putting course. Also coming are three new dining options, including The Owl’s Nest restaurant and lounge, plus expansions of the existing Canyon Cafe and Palo Verde Dining Room, which will become an entirely new and separate venue. We’re also adding a chapel, additional card rooms and new administrative offices to our northeast Phoenix campus.

Soon, you’ll be able to choose from 13 different independent living floor plans, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom plus den options. Floor plans range from 873 to 2,351 square feet and feature either a patio or balcony. So no matter which floor plan you select, you’ll have a scenic desert view to enjoy. Apartment homes start at a one-time entrance fee of $440,000 with a minimum 80% refundability to you or your estate, regardless of how long you reside at Sagewood. There is also an ongoing monthly fee determined by the size of the home you choose and the number of occupants; this covers an array of services and amenities, including the cost of future long-term health care services.

Our executive director, Stewart Ingram, says the Phase II expansion is scheduled to be completed in late 2020, and will be the largest addition to our community since we opened in 2010. “Sagewood continues to experience phenomenal growth and serves as the leader in the Phoenix market for senior lifestyle communities.

In addition to our planned expansion, our current 316-residence luxury senior living community features a fitness center, movie theaters, indoor and outdoor pools, performance center, formal and casual dining, and the CMS 5-Star-rated Acacia Health Center, providing assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and a rehabilitative therapy center.
