Sagewood Celebrates a Decade of Excellence
The magnificent Sagewood Life Plan Community recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary in grand fashion. The community has a lot to celebrate! Over the last decade, Sagewood has seen many milestones including adding The Estates neighborhood, expanding the Five Star-rated Acacia Health Center, the opening of Desert Willow Assisted Living and Phase II, now underway as the largest addition to the community since opening in 2010.
The $100 million Phase II will add 220,000 square feet across nearly four acres that includes 101 new independent living homes, new dining venues, an 18-hole championship golf putting course and additional entertainment areas.
Executive Director Stewart Ingram gave remarks during a dedication event, reminiscing about the evolution of the community and paying tribute to the incredible staff and the amazing residents. The event was kicked off with Shadow Mountain High School AFJROTC performing a color guard presentation. Phoenix Vice Mayor Jim Waring spoke to the excellence of the community and all that it brings to the city of Phoenix.
Following the presentation, residents were gifted a celebratory 10-year anniversary champagne flute, The Magnificent Ironwood Tree note cards, designed by resident and artist Elayne Kitchen, and a beautiful spread of food with gourmet food stations and a wine and champagne bar presented by Sagewood’s exceptional culinary team.
